Blood, sweat, tears… and blisters! It must be Wednesday night football at the Soccerdome. However, this was a touch DIFFERENT. As it was only my second league game, I was pleasantly surprised when my opponents turned out to be, none other than our good friends and clients, DFDS Seaways. Earlier that day, in a queer twist of fate (actually a common occurrence working at Different towers) I’d been toiling away writing killer headlines for the DFDS Q4 campaign… it’s a funny old game. After introducing myself to the DFDS lads, and agreeing to a good, clean, honest fight, I mean match, the game got under way. Sublime kill, speed, agility and finesse, could be seen on pitch 8, we played on pitch 9. But, this was red-hot action, end-to-end football with both teams gunning for glory. It was a closely fought game, and in the end, I must say that the best team won, fair and square, not a hint of biased refereeing, foul play, or luck involved. Well done DFDS Seaways. And to prove how gracious in defeat I am, I even posed for a snapshot at the end of the game. There were blister’s a plenty, blood from our keeper’s knee, sweat from 10 hard grafting fellas, and tears… from me. Sorry lads. I hate losing!
