Don’t you just love the British summertime. Wimbledon, strawberries & cream, picnics in the park and of course the Barker & Stonehouse Summer Sale.
And in this very special Jubilee year we decided to celebrate with the best of them by indulging in our very own shameless display of national pride.
Our “Brit of a Summer Sale ” pays homage to a typical English Theatre Farce and features a pair of “terribly English” aristocrats called Lord and Lady Havealot. How very British.
The TV and stills shoot took place over a couple of days at The Little Theatre in Gateshead and was art directed & written by Simon and Mick, Directed by Mark and produced by our good friends at re:production.
In addition to the TV ads, the summer sale campaign rolls out seamlessly across press, POS, brochure design, radio, digital and even features on delivery vans as well as on some rather fetching drinking mugs. Spiffing.
So without further ado please press play (below) and brace yourself for a belly full of fabulous furniture gags and more plummy English accents than you can shake a feather duster at. Super!
