Swissted is an ongoing project by graphic designer Mike Joyce, owner of Stereotype Design in New York City. drawing from his love of punk rock and swiss modernism, two movements that have (almost) nothing to do with one another, mike has redesigned vintage punk, hardcore, and indie rock show flyers into international typographic style posters.

This week we've had the pleasure of the company of two students, Carl and Dave, who are studying Advertising at Newcastle College. They've been getting some work experience and helping out on a live brief for a local charity The Angelou Centre. They've also gained an in-depth insight into the fine art of loudly insulting your colleagues and making copious amounts of tea. Hopefully their week has been enjoyable and worthwhile!
Working on a local charity this week - we're encouraging everyone in the agency to stick their ideas onto the glass wall in creative, but we're running out of space. Too many ideas isn't a bad thing though!
Obviously the sheer amount of health and fitness related posts (think we're up to two so far?) on this very blog has prompted this delicious box of fantastically creative cakey goodness to be delivered to Different this week.
In between circuit training sessions, marathon sessions, olympic weighlifting and iron man contests we all scoffed these down. Then did lots of star jumps to burn them off.
So a massive thank you to the sender of these, we won't embarrass you by naming you.

Today we were at the National Glass Centre with the University of Sunderland. Dipsticks presented their innovative youth panel segmented research, providing an invaluable insight into 18-24 age group mindsets and implications for higher education marketeers. Essential stuff in the age of the £9k student fee to assist marketing messaging and targeting. Find out more here
Last week we were out with photographer Chris Auld shooting for next year's University of Sunderland Prospectus. The vast majority of the shots were indoors, nice and cosy, lovely. Although the first shots of the day were not. Instead it was an early morning start on a cold, windy, wintery morning on the Roker seafront. Luckly the perfect shots were achieved before we, Chris, the clients and the models literally turned blue. Nice.

The cream of North East football was assembled last night in Gateshead when several of the Different team had their first 5-a-side match at Power League. Several Premier League scouts were spotted checking out the talent on show - then walking away shaking their heads in disgust! With an age range from early 20's to late 40's it really was men v boys and we were all very excited to be playing alongside ex-Argentina and Tottenham star Ricardo Villa (pictured below).
